What might global fossil CO2 emissions do in 2026? Based on IEA estimates, fossil CO2 emissions could decline 0.5% in 2026. A big 2.4% drop in oil & small 0.5% drop in gas, is partially offset by a 1.2% increase in coal. All very uncertain! www.energiogklima.no/nyhet/hormuz...

Huh. Perhaps we'll hear soon that the Chinese authorities forbid use of Chinese AI models for sensitive issues, since the Chinese AI models sometimes simply send the requests secretly to US AI models.
Screenshot with text: "The report found that one Kimi user uploaded Chinese surveillance data into the model to seek analysis on whether a specific person was behaving abnormally. Though this user likely thought this request would be fielded by Moonshot, it ultimately ended up being posed to an Anthropic model, becoming visible to the US company. This request included video surveillance from hundreds of cameras including those outside of People’s Liberation Army Facilities, Anthropic said in the report."

For clarity: Reactive power is not actually a transfer of energy, so this isn't about batteries supplying at night. This is the invertors that are used in non-utility PV being able to push phase corrections into the grid to maintain stability. They can do that with a small amount of grid power.
