Spain and Korea have a similar GDP pc PPP (59-68 k$ acc. to the IMF in 2026). In Korea, each generation is richer than the previous one, while in Spain, real wages have stagnated since the baby boom generation.

The US and the Euro area have roughly the same population and median income per capita in purchasing power parity. The poorest half of Europeans are richer than their American counterparts, and the richest half of Americans are richer than their European peers.
