I mean, hasn't there been some research that suggests most of our signals become effectively unreadable & fade into the cosmic background noise beyond about a light-year or so? That might explain it too.

I could be wrong about this, but I think it could even be possible (and mabye even feasible) on an *interplanetary* level but not an *interstellar* level, and that'd still explain Fermi's Paradox.

The discourse on antisemitism in the country is such that Mike Rogers can simultaneously attack Abdul El-Sayed *as* antisemitic, as a scary foreign Muslim critic of Israel, and also *with* antisemitism, as a tool of the foreign-born Jewish puppeteer.
"LEAKED: Footage of Abdul El-Sayed fundraising last night in the California home of the far-left Soros family.

Abdul’s education was paid for by the Soros family and NOW they are funding his campaign to make him a U.S. Senator

The Soros family is funding Abdul because he will carry out their agenda of:

➡️ defunding the police
➡️ emptying prisons, and letting violent criminals & sex offenders back onto the streets
➡️ gender transition surgeries for minors
➡️ allowing illegals to vote in American elections

Abdul is too extreme for Michigan."

I will say, I am far from convinced that this is the automatic trick for winning that a lot of people do, but it is important that *somebody* say this stuff in public, because that's the only way we reestablish any kind of societal norms or push the boundaries of acceptability away from this filth.

Correct. It’s surreal to have grown up mostly in the 90s— a decade where even the worst right wing pols knew they were supposed to try to hide that they were Nazis or NeoConfederates. Just look up what brought Trent Lott down in 2002. It’s so quaint and would never happen now.

This plays into one of my other perennial fascinations, which is that "a period of European predominance in Africa" is basically predetermined by the 18th century, but the total colonization/conquest/partition of the continent is a *very* late development with a lot of contingent factors.
