I'm dying laughing at how the cat has conformed to her flower shaped bed today
A white cat is sleeping curled up in a med that has five fluffy white lobes of a flower petal, the cat has half her face peeking upwards and otherwise has filled the pentagonal space in the center of the bed completely

Using a voice-trained AI tool to read to a child vs. reading to a child IRL is the cognitive development equivalent of a stale rice cake vs. a balanced, home-cooked meal. Any parent, uncle, babysitter should be able to intuit this. You don't have to be a child development expert.

What's Going On In Your Child's Brain When You Read Them A Story?
There are many ways young children encounter stories. A new study finds a "Goldilocks effect," where a cartoon may be "too hot" and audiobooks "too cold" for learning readers.

Hello Bone Colleagues,
I have invented a new type of ankle and I'm very excited to show it to you. Early raccoon trials suggest a 60% increase in scurrying speed and dramatic increases in fine motor banditry. I know we are not supposed to create super raccoons, but I think you'll change your mind and professional ethics when you see how cute they are. I believe we are on the cusp of a new era in advanced human scurrying because if medical science has taught me anything, it's that improvements in raccoons correspond 1:1 to improvements in humans.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

The playbook the right used here is effective even though it's not especially sophisticated, as it relies on the audience to do the dirty work. A flyer taped to a wooden pole features a bold headline: “I CAN BITE ANYTHING” with smaller text underneath saying “Bring me Anything and I’ll bite it.”

Three labeled images are shown:
	•	A roasted pepper labeled “Hatch Chile”
	•	A bundle of toys and cords labeled “String”
	•	A piece of fabric with a toy on it labeled “Strong String”

Below the images is a large photo of a wide-eyed black cat with its mouth open, as if ready to bite.

Text at the bottom reads: ”$400 REWARD for bringing me something I CANNOT BITE” followed by smaller text: “Biting is how I keep my mind thinking actual good Thoughts.”

And both didn’t wait a day to dust themselves off and get to work supporting their former opponent. Pure team player energy.
