She loves me too, just finitely. There is a limit to how much of me & my abject worship that she can take. She sleeps with me these days, which is new. She used to like it in the closet. Now Ambrose tends to sleep there. Zooey slept somewhere new every night, but they're creatures of habit these 2.

I'm sorry I keep coming back to this, I just find it fascinating. He shrugs off the idea with such alacrity & it's like completely obvious. So I just keep telling him how much she loves him & he keeps blowing it off. But one day it will hit him: She loves you infinitely because you are deserving.

The only time she climbs or hugs me now is at the dinner table where, regrettably, she often forgets herself. King Baby won't have it & I'm a little sad to say she's mostly stopped trying. He's slowly coming to love her a lot, but still has no capacity to understand the depth of her love for him.
