Fine artist & curator. Paint on my jeans, dog hair on my vintage coats, centuries-old gossip on my mind. Standard day involves archives, oil textures, a lactose-free kitchen, and my dog acting like a maniac. Here for the art history nerds & literature.

#Birmingham — a city of strangers in passing. Motion blur, bokeh, silhouettes in the rain. The imperfections feel like the point. Everyone had somewhere to go. For a fraction of a second, their lives crossed inside my frame — then they were gone. Where do you imagine they were going? #photography

“A fish rots from the head” feels increasingly less like a proverb and more like a job description. When did loyalty to a politician become a measure of someone’s ability to serve the public?

A little portrait study from a train through Birmingham: Between Stops. I'm really drawn to photographing people through glass/reflections because you stop getting a clean separation between subject and place. Photographers — 1 or 2? #blueskyartshow #blackandwhite

Digging into the archive. Behind the scenes with Sam Cole on a music video shoot, 2020. I’ve always liked photographing the space between takes — when someone is half performer, half themselves. Do you prefer shooting the performance or what happens around it?

Coventry Cathedral, 2020. Digging back through older shots and still love this perspective. I’ve always been drawn to architecture that dominates the frame. Creatives — is there a building you find yourself snapping every time you visit a city? #Photography #BlackAndWhite #Architecture

a billionaire promises a working city on the moon by the early 2030s. propose housing everyone already on earth and suddenly it's unrealistic, too expensive, decades away. space isn't the ambitious part. it's just the part where the payoff stays private.

We should all be worried about "dynamic pricing." That's when companies change their prices in real time. If it's hot out, the cost of ice cream could go up. If it's cold, tea bags could go up. It's a way for giant companies to squeeze you even more.

Even dry canvases keep changing. In Van Gogh’s paintings, metal pigments and oils react over time—forming tiny “soaps” beneath the surface. This knowledge helps conservators manage and slow deterioration.
