Fine artist & curator. Paint on my jeans, dog hair on my vintage coats, centuries-old gossip on my mind. Standard day involves archives, oil textures, a lactose-free kitchen, and my dog acting like a maniac. Here for the art history nerds & literature.

Apparently the answer to “should I really go take photos in this weather?” was yes. A rainy Birmingham night photo walk turned into stop-motion — fewer frames, wider crops, and lots of wet streets and reflected light. www.instagram.com/babwithacamera #blueskyartshow #photography

#Birmingham — a city of strangers in passing. Motion blur, bokeh, silhouettes in the rain. The imperfections feel like the point. Everyone had somewhere to go. For a fraction of a second, their lives crossed inside my frame — then they were gone. Where do you imagine they were going? #photography

Rackhams → House of Fraser → ? I photographed the Corporation Street building in 2024, while people were still passing beneath it every day. House of Fraser closed in 2026. The building remains. #Birmingham #StreetPhotography

A little portrait study from a train through Birmingham: Between Stops. I'm really drawn to photographing people through glass/reflections because you stop getting a clean separation between subject and place. Photographers — 1 or 2? #blueskyartshow #blackandwhite

Digging into the archive. Behind the scenes with Sam Cole on a music video shoot, 2020. I’ve always liked photographing the space between takes — when someone is half performer, half themselves. Do you prefer shooting the performance or what happens around it?

Coventry Cathedral, 2020. Digging back through older shots and still love this perspective. I’ve always been drawn to architecture that dominates the frame. Creatives — is there a building you find yourself snapping every time you visit a city? #Photography #BlackAndWhite #Architecture

My boyfriend spoiled me with a surprise Waterstones trip and cheesecake yesterday 📚🍰 Came home with Minority Rule, The Shock Doctrine and The Invisible Doctrine. Started Minority Rule almost immediately and I’m already hooked. Current bookmark: his ancient BCU student ID 😂

A couple of my street shots from Birmingham back in 2020. Loved capturing the contrasting light, heavy textures, and sharp angles in these quiet side streets. #StreetPhotography #Birmingham #BNW #BlackAndWhite #Photography

As the owner of an old dog I can confirm they only get cuter and sassier with each passing day. She only gets more and more beautiful
