"Don't"

The POV switches back, but is closer on the being's strangely serene face as they continues staring at the page.

They then stare directly at us, the serene face implying the opposite.

I've heard there's a theory that actually England pronounced them too back in Shakespeare's time and that English accents slowly lost the r's and that southern us accents are closer to medieval English than modern English accents. But I am also too lazy to confirm this
