If you ever need an example of a Kerry accent, this video has it in all its glory. Yes, it is very different to a Hollywood "Irish" accent. And yes, it is pretty much impenetrable to the untrained (non-Kerry) ear. Healthy bacon, floury potatoes and (I think) crubeens. #Ireland #accents

🐔 If you eat chicken, where you eat matters. Some companies are switching to healthier, slower-growing breeds. Others are still serving #Frankenchickens. Use your spending power. #GoForSlow 🐔 Take action: bit.ly/4rtnLBK
The image is a split graphic indicating restaurant chains' stances on serving "Frankenchickens." On the green side, labeled "Committed to Stop Serving Frankenchickens," are brands: Greggs, Wahaca, Nando's, Pret, and Subway. The red side, labeled "Happy to Keep Serving Frankenchickens," includes Domino's Pizza, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Wagamama, Taco Bell, and KFC, among others.

The top wine in this list currently retails in the UK for £43-£46. That's £4 less than Veuve Cliquot at Tesco. Not saying it compares to Veuve, but good English sparkling is definitely not "a fraction of the price" of Champagne.

I've well and truly had enough of selling on Etsy. Ten years of fees, algorithm changes and now watching the place fill up with AI generated listings while genuine makers don’t stand a chance.

I was working for Renault when the Clio first launched. Not much marketing budget for the UK, so we offered a free Easter Egg with every test drive. North Acton was buzzing that Easter weekend. The Papa and Nicole ads then went on to shift metal like nobody’s business.

Delicious Pol Roger in magnum at Hôtel de Charost, the British Ambassador's residence, last night. The house was bought in 1814 by the Duke of Wellington from Napoleon Bonaparte's sister. She passed on the gold to Napoleon, financing his return from exile on Elba, and hence the Battle of Waterloo.
Very large bottle of Pol Roger champagne (Churchill's favourite) on a tray perched on a marble side table in front of a white wall panel with delicate tendrils of plasterwork. Also on the side table a very smart table lamp with a gold base and a yellow silk shade.
