Today's ruling by the Court of Appeal is deeply disappointing. This case remains about much more than one group. The banning of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation is a grave misuse of counter-terrorism powers with serious consequences for human rights.

This study shows that when in doubt of necessity, do not section a person as it causes more harm. In my opinion this is because taking away autonomy reinforces existing trauma. Practices need to become truly patient-centered, which involves ditching the culture of risk and liability.

As someone actually trained in behavioural psychology—unlike most MPs—I can tell you: financial precarity doesn’t “incentivise” sick people to work. It breaks them. Stress worsens health. Fear doesn’t create productivity. It creates collapse. #TakingThePIP

A small group of people control everyone's ability to earn and that group scratches each others' backs to make sure they get first dibs on the lion's share of a company's profits before the leftovers get passed on to the workers who generated the wealth. I don't think the problem is just modern.

Why doesn't the majority of the British public want adequate or even good support for sick/disabled people to be put in place FIRST? That's the main prob with the "majority of the British public" argument. That, & the fact the majority of the British public were PRO the death penalty before 2010.
