Employment involves two parties. Disabled people who can work are doing their bit - now it's time for employers to step up and make sure their workplaces include people. So proud to work with @dailyrecord.co.uk on this issue.

We totally agree, many disabled people can and do thrive at work with the right support. Better awareness from employers about reasonable adjustments can make a real difference.

Humans are social creatures, we like to feel connected. For over 150,000 people across the UK, BSL makes that communication easier. We’re not really into ‘awareness days’, but we are into inclusion, so Happy #InternationalDayOfSignLanguages

News stories usually quote someone who's been through the issue they're discussing, but Disabled people are often invisible in our news. We’re asking the press to let us speak, and tell the real story about Disabled people’s lives.
People who've experienced something understand it best. Let us speak. Only 11% of news stories about disabled people quote a disabled person. A pie chart showing 11% highlighted in red. The logo of the Campaign for Disability Justice.
