The fact that Russia has helped Iran - AND helped them target US troops, and yet Trump- while Russia struggles - just de-sanctioned the purchase of Russian oil, should be a MUCH bigger story. Like - a REALLY BIG story. Like - an "our President really IS a useful idiot" story.

FYI: The US currently exports roughly 6 million tons of diesel every month. Trump's decision to import 400,000 tons (a tiny fraction of US exports) will NOT impact diesel prices. All it will do is funnel billions to Putin that he can use to murder more civilians.

Trump just announced that he is importing 400,000 tons of Russian diesel right away and up to 4,000,000 tons over the coming months. Every US$ going to Putin will be used to buy more missiles and drones to kill Ukrainian civilians. Trump's largess will lead to thousands of deaths. 1/2

Good morning. Federal prosecutors in Chicago filed partially redacted documents overnight in the "Broadview Six" case. The redactions appear to include the signature block (including the name) of one of the attorneys representing the United States government:
A partially redacted motion to seal a petition for order authorizing disclosure. One signature block on the document belongs to Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Walsh. The other signature block is redacted. The concluding page of a document in which "the United States respectfully requests that the court authorizes the disclosure of the unredacted Oct. 9, 16, 23 transcripts and related exhibits." The rest of the sentence is redacted.

One signature block belongs to Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Walsh. The other is redacted.

My statement on the ICE shooting in Marble Hill ⬇️

"Today in Marble Hill, ICE agents fired multiple shots at a man in his vehicle while his 5-year-old child was in the back seat.
ICE's already unwelcome presence in our city has been growing more escalatory and dangerous by the day. Today's shooting is a grave development that requires a swift and immediate response to protect the safety of all New Yorkers.
First, we must have a full and independent investigation of this incident.
"There must also be a full and immediate release of all body camera footage of the incident.
In addition, the Target Corporation must stop offering their Bronx properties as private staging sites for ICE, in compliance with requests from New York officials. Target opening up large, active retail parking lots for paramilitary activity is unacceptable and places the entire community at risk.
ICE is a rogue, lawless paramilitary and surveillance agency.
It does not belong in New York City and it should not exist in the United States of America. Abolish ICE.”

RIP to (among her other accomplishments) the founder of the Software Engineering field.
"I fought to bring the software legitimacy so that it - and those building it - would be given its due respect, and thus I began to use the term 'software engineering' to distinguish it from hardware and other kinds of engineering, yet treat each type of engineering as part of the overall systems engineering processạiHamilton told El Pais in 2018. "When I first started using this phrase, it was considered to be quite amusing. It was an ongoing joke for a long time. They liked to kid me about my radical ideas. Software eventually and necessarily gained the same respect as any other discipline."
