Because it's Montana and not Minnesota, I suspect the fire coming from DC about fraud is going to be nearly non-existant (and to be clear: fraud sucks, especially in healthcare, since it hemorrhages money from a system already too expensive and poorly functioning)

One of my ways of thinking about medicine is that most patients are in 1 of 3 groups: 1) basic medical issues that should be easy to manage with universal access: hypertension, diabetes, pre-natal care, childhood vaccinations, pneumonia, etc. Do these well, and you’re >1/2 way to a decent system 1/3

It is depressing that few public officials are stepping up to defend the university of Minnesota from crippling cuts. Investment in it generates enormous return. You can’t trim 10-15% of the budget and pretend that all will be well. Austerity leads to mediocrity 🤦🏻‍♂️

She was being blackmailed over explicit photos. She went to police and gave them the photos as evidence. The cop kept the pictures on his phone, showed them to others, and didn’t catch the blackmailer- who ended up killing her. Just enraging. I wonder why victims of sex crimes don’t report 🤔🤬😢

For non-soccer fans: this scandal is basically a microcosm of what is going on everywhere re: the ultra-wealthy doing whatever they want because they can. Man City cheated like hell. But here is the prime minister implying they’re just too valuable to the UK to hold to account. It sucks
