I don't see enough discussion that, aside from establishing facts and removal from office, the point of impeachment is to *disqualify* all these people from ever holding federal office again. Whiskey Pete wants to run for President and he should be barred from doing so.

On this day in 1873, the Argonauts Football Club was established in Toronto. The team played its first game on Oct. 18. The Argos are the oldest professional sports team in North America still using its original name. To date, they have won 19 Grey Cups. Pic is of 1906 team.

The men in the back and front rows are wearing matching uniforms with a large "A" on the chest, striped socks, and early football or rugby-style attire. The three men in the middle row are dressed in formal suits and ties, with one appearing older and possibly a coach or official.

I don't describe a lot of stories as a must-read, but this one should be for Toronto voters. I heard the words 'ideologically rudderless ambitionist' used to describe a different politician. But I think they apply to Brad Bradford, too. #GiftLink 🎁 #ToPoli #BikeTO www.thestar.com/gift-redeem?...
I’ll have more on Chow in a later column. But the Bradford conversations have been striking for their near uniformity. Most of the people I’ve spoken to, from across the political spectrum, don’t disagree with Bradford so much as they dislike him as a person. Several supporters told me they found Bradford weirdly intense. Chow backers — including many who once stood with Tory — and those with no horse in this race went much further. They told me — almost to a person — that they find Bradford unprincipled and disloyal.

This is more than just the normal political griping. For whatever reason, many who have worked closely with Bradford over the past eight years think he is almost uniquely unlikable. I’m not sure I’ve ever covered anyone who inspires so much personal vitriol. Many — and not just progressives — think he would be a terrible mayor, not because he believes in awful ideas but because they don’t think he believes in anything at all.

kbarton1001
On my first big overseas client conference, I was at a dinner seated next to a drunk client who kept trying to fondle me under the table. I was young, distressed, and had no idea what to do. I moved my legs as far away from him as I could, moving into the space of the man next to me, who then started patting my legs! The Regional Manager was a French woman who caught my eye, gestured for me to go to the bathroom and when I came back had switched chairs with me. What happed next was epic. A few minutes after I sat back down, she raised her hand with his hand captured in hers and announced loudly "Does anyone know whose hand this is? I found it in my lap." There was dead silence at the table. She threw his hand back at him and said calmly "next time I pick it up with my fork." Then she started a new conversational thread and things moved on. After the meeting she found me, gave me a hug, and said seriously "Never be afraid to make some noise. It is their shame, not yours."

When I taught at an all-boys prep school, we'd do an activity where I had them list every sexual term they could think of. They'd often laugh, as many were absurd things meant for Urban Dictionary. We'd then go through how many terms were violent (~85%) and how many were male-dominant (~90%).
