It’s absolutely fucking WILD that this was committed to writing, given that every Muslim and pro-Palestinian who appeared in the media from late 2023 onwards was asked whether they supported Hamas and required to renounce terrorism.
Asking Jews to pass a purity test and renounce self-determination according to a perverse interpretation arbitrarily applied, isn't just an extreme position, it's a racist one.

That's before we consider the Green party is now backing violent dismantling of Israel.

Amongst many other projects, left wing people spent the 2010s warning that Israel’s criminal leadership class was clearly preparing their public for The Day Of Reckoning, when they would Do What Must Be Done. We’re three years into it, and still being treated like that’s insane.

Tragicomic that there are thousands of people in the Greens who spent 2015-19 in Labour. They've had ~7yrs to think about what went wrong, about strategy, tactics, messaging, political priorities & constructing/ maintaining different voter coalitions.
And the conclusion they've drawn is: "This time let's do MORE very public, divisive, pointless and esoteric arguments about Zionism & Jews & anti-Semitism that have O impact on anything happening in the Middle East Ce"

I look forward to the pearl clutchers being absolutely fine with a "white supremacy is not racism" motion passing at a future right wing conference, because that would be the consistent position for them, wouldn't it? If not, then maybe they should do a bit of self-reflection in this current moment

It's a fucking open secret that the most prominent Zionist groups in the UK are literally allied to the UK far right, and term their ideology in terms of a great replacement struggle against Muslim existence. Can we not engage with actually existing Zionism as it currently stands in 2026?

The creation of any settler colonial state that involves displacement, land theft, genocidal intent and action, imposing government and subjugating dissent is the purest form of racism there is. It applies to Canada, USA, Australia and it applies to Israel

If there’s something weird, it’s that public figures face no negative career consequences for speaking in favour of an actual genocide. That’s crazy stuff! Imagine if most of parliament and the press had been right behind Slobodan Milosevic, because they think Bosnians are more like orcs than humans

Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

I’m growing my fingernails long to donate them to nails for fails. it’s like locks of love but for people who are such failures that they can’t even grow their own nails. the graft nail gets rejected every time, and it’s really painful, but the failures feel like they deserve it

And it is also a dramatic misunderstanding of OCD, which tends to cause behaviors that link two concepts with no causality together (if I don’t check my locks 8 times my dog will die)not maintaining habits that *do* have a causal effect (if I wear a mask regularly I will be less likely to get covid)

Pathologizing any behavior you have no context for is sinister and should be seen for what it is: pointing targets out for the right wing while you hide behind a rock.

brief reminder because a TikTok video of an asshole is going around, disabled people trying to avoid illnesses that could make them more disabled is not OCD, it is lived experience with a disability that you do not have, and thus should have your stupid mouth closed and stupid ears open about.

I heard rumours that it was actually in the works a while back, around the time of Final Shape. If that was true then I'm guessing the declining player numbers and internal studio drama that happened since then convinced them to pull the plug on the cards?

If you like taprooms there's at least one good one in the railway arches under the overground line on the northeast side, go down Bohemia place and past Night Tales. Otherwise the Pembury Tavern on the corner of Amhurst Road / Dalston Lane is close. Or Star By Hackney Downs (10min walk)

the plainness with which this is put covers up a sort of powerless rage that you feel as a parent of a trans kid. it’s, to say the least, an alienating experience to see people bicker over the niceties of this or that pension policy when the party and the government has done this to your family
This Labour Government is the worst thing to have ever happened to trans children.
They have step by step dismantled every protection that supported my daughter. We have tried so hard to help her grow up with happiness and self-esteem through a childhood in an increasingly transphobic UK.
At every point when the Labour Government could have made something better, they have turned around and given her another kick.

I appreciate you have a far greater understanding of economics than I do. But my entire life traditional 'sensible' economics has only made these issues worse and no prime minister has had the will to address that. So yeah I'm gonna give the Greens a shot, I literally have nothing left to lose

One? I'm wondering why you're riding so hard for landlords. And I wouldn't be so presumptuous about it being a vote loser. We have entire generations now staring down the barrel of working until the day they die. Won't ever own a house, don't have pensions, and all this was done to them deliberately

Turning housing into assets for rampant free market speculation is exactly why on average houses cost 12x the average yearly wage now, when it used to be 3x. All essential services should be nationalised, whether that is healthcare, utilities, transport or housing. How many houses do you own?
100
glacé @glacierrays.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Why is that? Who holds the supply of housing? And why do these owners of such an essential part of life have the power to refuse to supply it on a whim? Seems like something we should also address as an emergency, right after the emergency brake on rents 👍

Oh I see, yes you're right it is odd to actively brief on this! But I hope it works out for them somehow. Andrew Feinstein stood as an independent in 2024 and came 2nd (presumably main cause of Starmer's dip) so it'll be interesting to see where those votes go now. Can't assume they're all Greens

I'm not sharing the Braverman posts because every single one of them addresses the wrong problem. The problem is not a fringe politician expounding on her 19th century racial science theories. The problem is a publicly funded broadcaster platforming and normalising them. Several times a day.

Greens might be right though. For that seat in 2024 Starmer's majority was cut by more than half - and that was despite a huge anti-Tory wave. Many saw Kier for what he was even before he took power, so this by-election will hinge on how many also see through Burnham's empty promises and inaction

Disability doesn’t care how old you are. Specialist food is no cheaper if you’re 19. Employers don’t lose their prejudice if you’re 21. This is blatant intergenerational inequality from Labour. Younger disabled people of all severities deserve better. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

The rush to speculate that asylum seekers are responsible for every crime in the news is a sort of opportunistic informational terrorism. Until it’s disproved it stokes fear and hatred. When it is disproved there are no adverse consequences and they know that they only have to be lucky once.

In Denmark I lived on floor 3, which was actually the fourth floor, but it was a new development and due to a quirk in the landscape and a “car park” underneath it, if you looked out my window onto the courtyard you were clearly on floor 1, which would actually be the second floor
