I would argue that public spending does support the private sector with infrastructure and services that workers use, and that circulates into the economy, supporting that tax revenue. We would need a robust analysis of the data to declare which perspective is more accurate though.

Well, obviously we need more private sector unions. Also, I wouldn't describe 65% as a vast majority, more like a strong majority, but then again, I'm a bit of a pendant. Vast majority would be 80%+ to me.
