there's a stairwell out of chinatown here that i sometimes go up on weekends and while it's not that long, it's super steep and i have to hang onto the *very gross and dirty* handrail or else i feel i'll tip over backwards. it always makes me dizzy walking *up* it.

Concept: a bunch of high school Satanists get drunk in the local graveyard and try to conjure a demon, but they're using one of those "reconstructionist" ritual books that gets its sources all mixed up, so they end up with a minor Mithraic fertility spirit that hasn't spoken with humans in like 1700 years instead. By the terms of its binding it's not allowed to leave until it's ensured a successful harvest for its summoners, which is a problem, because none of these goobers have ever raised so much as a houseplant; if it wants to go home, it's going to have to teach them how to garden - whether they want to learn or not!

there's an oyster restaurant down the street from me that *constantly* has a line up of 20+ people in front of it. it's featured in most visitor guides to the city and people really love their oysters. i don't get it, since you can get oysters elsewhere without lining up for two hours.

What Cage has done for literally the past decade is exactly this, he finds a weird eccentric script by a first time filmmaker, signs on, his name brings in clout, he makes the film, and sometimes it's not very good. But it's still artistic as hell. This is why I *love* Cage.

I used to work in IT for credit card processing. It was boring. There are initial mathematical checks done on credit card numbers. Somewhere out there is a credit card system, authorising transactions, with a function called NumberWang. It was a slow afternoon.

i wanted to see the movie "legend" when it came out at the theatres because it had unicorns on the movie poster (and as a 10 year old girl, unicorns were my jam) but it also had a demon on the poster and my strict catholic mother said "not today satan" and i didn't get to see it until years later.
