I think what I resent the most is that all of us, especially the women who worked with him, were a part of his rehabilitation (at least image-wise) without us ever getting to choose if that was something we wanted to participate in. He didn't let us or his audience make a choice. How ironic.

I’ve said this before but my lasting memory of 9/11 is a few weeks after the actual event, when a skinhead in high school whacked me in the stomach with a piece of pipe and called me a terrorist sand n-word. Was not that radically different from the mood of the country at the time, honestly.
