Paramount+ wanted to use the image on the left as a poster for the wrath of Khan, so they used everyone's least favorite technology to generate the rest of the image.

I recognized the "Its the beginning of a new and excitingly different story!" sample from the Chrono Trigger arrangement album of all things, but never assumed it was actually a relatively common sample in 90s house music so I never bothered to look up that its from the 40s Superman radio show.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up. I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I know dolls like this are mostly perceived as creepy these days but at the time this photo was taken these were probably some little girl's two favorite companions in the world. Photo from my collection, no date/info.
