A former dev from Arxel Tribe / Sinister Systems is on the RPG Codex talking about the 2003 Slovenian RPG 'Mistmare' rpgcodex.net/forums/threa... Interesting look at the challenges they faced - like how the writing was done expecting an actual writer / native English speaker to review it later

We've frequently been criticized for the poor quality of writing, of the dialogues in particular, which are also way too long and wordy. But in our defense, the deal with Arxel was that a professional, native english speaking writer would be hired for a complete overhaul before the game was published. As we were neither professional writers nor native speakers, that seemed pretty reasonable. But as it happened, there was just yet another case of "applied mismanagement" in the end, because the "overhauled text" we got from that lector was pretty much unchanged. Bummer!

There have been two occasions in my career where I had to go to war with teammates against mistaken understandings of probability. In both cases, it was because people expected large numbers of d6s to occasionally result in maximum damage. But the curves for 3d6 and 15d6 (e.g.) look like this:

Man, the Dynasty Warriors 3 Remake demo is so weird... It's not the game I loved back in 2001, nor it's a good modern musou game. It's a weird in-between that lacks weigh & charm... but kept the shitty English VA became of memes I guess :P If you're a newcomer just get Dynasty Warriors 8 instead.

The Rhapsody of Zephy remaster is impressive... they added widescreen, full-voice acting and lots of QoL & cheat options like quest compass, more XP and auto-battle - all optional. Also, the remaster includes the original game! Excellent preservation work! Now to wait for the English translation...

Digimon Card Battler is kinda mid, but once again the UI is extremely cool and on point. Some of the artists also worked before on Digimon World 1, do they clearly knew what they were doing, but I'm surprised there was no overlap with Digimon World 3's artists later.
