Jeff's making themed cat toys again. Current theme- juvenile delinquents. Mack with his cat nip cigs and Biscuit getting ready to destroy a truant officer badge.
Shorthaired orange cat with soulful eyes. Standing on a cat tree with a felt truant officer badge. Mack, a beautiful fluffy cat orange cat with a felt package of cigarettes. Looking pleased.

In retrospect, the flaw in the Turing Test was always using human discernment as the model to measure against. LLMs easily pass the Turing Test, not because they’re sentient, but because we’re dumbasses who interpret the most dopamine-supplying response to ourselves as the most intelligently human.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

The best response to Abundance talk is a single tweet from Ruairi Wood, RIP brother.
Tweet from @thekafkadude

It's really funny how America and the UK stopped investing in infrastructure in the 1980s because the free market will pave potholes and make the trains run on time and now literally nothing works and you cannot go anywhere or do anything but like 4 people are richer than God.

If it’s “radical” to say housing is a human right, maybe we need to stop letting billionaires define the word. They get the whole pie, the bakery, the land it sits on—and STILL want to come for our crumbs.

Our goal is to have 1000 SUFS Teach Ins across the US, by 9/30. *GASP* 😮 We know, it's a big goal. If you've received tax dollars for your science, you have a responsibility to inform *your* community what is at stake: public health, the economy, innovation, and America's global leadership.
Host a teach in. Share science with your community....protest style! Calling back to the teach ins of 1965, we are taking to parks, pubs, & churches to tell our neighborhoods about how the budget cuts will impact them.

Mack loves to smell this half-dead boxwood every evening. Our neighbor took it out and put it in the backyard where Mack can sit and sniff it for more than 5 seconds while I try to herd him toward the house. It's his dream come true.

Mosab Abu Toha has been awarded the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. 🇵🇸🕊️ #Poetry #Peace
A poem titled “Under the Rubble” by Mosab Abu Toha, published in The New Yorker. The poem reads:

> My son asks me whether,
when we return to Gaza,
I could get him a puppy.
I say, “I promise, if we can find any.”

I ask my son if he wishes to become
a pilot when he grows up.
He says he won’t wish
to drop bombs on people and houses.

Set on a beige background, the poem is a tender dialogue between a father and son, reflecting the trauma of war and hope for peace.

Vitamin A won't cure measles. A 'healthy diet' won't stop you from getting measles. "Wellness" doesn't make you immune to disease and disability. The people who push these ideas are eugenicists. They are conditioning you to believe disability and chronic illness is our fault.
