Call me naive, but wouldn’t it make sense to withhold all taxpayer funding from the GAA until they stop discriminating against women. I think that would speed up the “complex integration process”. Just a thought.

There is without question a global campaign to demonise and weaken Muslims. It’s horrific. But it’s having an opposite effect. It’s bringing Muslims together. I have never felt more connected and obligated to my faith or my Muslim community.

It’s a mark of the corruption of our whole way of thinking about the world that trying to meet a planetary emergency is routinely described as “ideological”, while continuing to accelerate it is presented as “pragmatic” and “economic”.

This is insanity. Irish Presidency's draft text of amendments to the GDPR allows training & operation of any AI without safeguards & tough legal basis (under "legitimate interest" a company claims what it is doing is OK. Up to you to find out and challenge in court). This is a free pass for US Tech.

As a relatively new Irish Citizen, this is so disappointing. It smacks of some surface-level attempt to look tough on immigration. If you haven't a parent or grandparent, getting citizenship is difficult, time consuming and often very expensive already. This is lousy politics.
