The headline refers to "exaggerated portrayals of one candidate as a con artist and the other as a drunk"; the article then spends a lot of time detailing a single incident, which has been widely exaggerated beyond all proportion and recognization, and finally turns to Ramaswamy's career exploits, which are by no measure being exaggerated beyond defensible arguments as to their social impact. Why couldn't this article be accurately headlined: In Ugly Fight For Ohio Governor, Exaggeration of Single Personal Incident Is Pitted Against a Plutocrat's Career and Its Consequences.
