My brain must be truly rotted because I had a dream in which somehow I managed to talk to Dario Amodei by phone and ask him all sorts of questions while eating candy, but then I asked him "if AI is as dangerous as you say, why don't you just shut it down?" and then the dream just sort of ended.

Had a dream. I was watching a cartoon about America, but swathes of territory were owned by monsters. Like, Michigan has a county of demons. And I was enjoying it, but the plot kind of went off the rails. Then I found out the studio used ai to translate monster gibberish into English.

I had a dream two nights ago I was interacting with an LLM. It kept giving rubbish answers, and I would call it out, and it would respond, "I'm so angry, this is not what the agents were supposed to do. Let me rewrite the prompts for them." Woke up and my first thought was, an LLM can't be angry.
