Paddling (canoeing) across Windermere today, into the teeth of a pretty stiff Force 3 wind - lumpy, and just this side of whitecaps - I came across a swimming squirrel, looking very stressed. Not a planned swim, I'm guessing. It was 300m to either shore, so I'm not sure s/he was going to be okay.

guess it's just getting too hard for him to pronounce "artificial" these days. didn't he insist on "superior" intelligence just a few days ago? and now they've managed to cut 4 syllables down to 2 and reduce the risk of embarrassment when he fails to wrap his mouth around longer words than "super"

yesterday i intervened when someone at work made ai generated suggestions to "improve" an article and i didn't read all the suggestions but noticed one of them made no sense. so i suggested a different, logical wording and logged on today prepared to fight for logic to prevail.
