Authors investigate the roles of synovial tissue (ST) myeloid DCs in health and active or remission stages of rheumatoid arthritis using a combination of scRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics and DC/T cell co-cultures, and infere functional features of ST-DCs in immune tolerance and disease.

Different conformations get assembled: close, “ready-for-sale”, pink; open, “non-conformational”, green; halves, free heavy chains, yellow. While pink scissors get displayed on a shelf for sale (plasma membrane), IRGQ discards defective ones into a bin (the autophagosome), ensuring quality control.
