This is a fantastic video. Louisa Gag would likely still be alive today if the truck that hit her in Boston had side guards. These pieces of metal are a great example of how there are many simple interventions that could prevent cyclist and pedestrian deaths, yet our leaders fail to implement them.

I accidentally took mine for a brief swim in the ocean earlier this year. It worked fine afterwards, but it took a couple of days before I could charge it with a cable (had to use wireless, which worked fine!)
