Portobello Swim Centre remains closed on Monday after shutting its doors to swimmers last week. A sign outside the front door says it has closed "due to unforeseen circumstances". Edinburgh Leisure has confirmed that the problem is the heating system has failed, meaning there is no heating in the building or to heat the pool. The Facilities team is working on fixing the problem. A spokesperson for Edinburgh Leisure said: "Portobello Swim Centre will remain closed until further notice, and all activities and operations are suspended. A further update will be provided on 7 September."
