I know Seven Up was probably the best bit of telly ever made by ITV, and that Symon, the mixed heritage kid that grew up in care and then fostered loads of other young people, was one of the more sympathetic people featured, but I’m afraid I did laugh when they said his wife was called Viennetta.

What’s the worst thing a job interviewer has done to you? I had one read my tweets to me. I said “why have you even brought me in? To tell me off because you don’t like me on Twitter?”. I also walked out of one when the woman interviewing was more interested in the office cake than my presentation.

I wouldn’t take coffee into a job interview. Or a can of Coke. You get offered a drink in there and you sip the water to buy time to answer the question. I’ve interviewed loads of times; if someone came in with a coffee, I’d think them a bit overfamiliar and they probably wouldn’t get the gig.
