Thank you to everyone who got in touch about the frustrating closure of the vital bridge at St Mark's Park. This is a lifeline route for the community on both sides and has massive impacts on access to the park, walking, cycling, the school & local businesses 1/3

Thanks all who wrote in re the importance of the London Road traffic islands. Designs look v positive as it’s important for proper conservation materials & cycle lanes to have a smooth surface. But the islands must stay to allow pedestrians to cross.

Farcical for peds & cyclists to learn, in response to my Cllr Q, that no conflict monitoring took place on Leith Walk (esp bus stops), despite a statement implying there was. How can anyone have confidence CEC is taking Leith Walk #ActiveTravel seriously?

While I largely welcome below proposals for London Road, I'm raising concerns about removing the traffic islands at each end of Hillside Crescent. If these disappeared, it'd be harder for Hillside / Easter Road / Leith pedestrians to cross into town. They can also calm traffic. Comments welcome!

10 years on from Brexit, anti-Farage billboard unveiled in Edinburgh
10 YEARS on from the day the UK voted to leave the European Union, the Liberal Democrats have unveiled a billboard mocking Reform leader Nigel Farage in Leith, Edinburgh. The billboard asks the question "10 years on, do you feel better off?" In reference to the Brexit vote. An image of Nigel Farage clutching a briefcase full of cash drives home the message – the Lib Dems believe Brexit is costing Britain.
