The afternoon turned out nice, so a walk with my sisters dog. That boy loves a standing stone. 🤣 It was so quick and easy to get here by public transport, I think I’ll come back on the next nice day to climb GoatFell. Can’t wait to see that trig point! #Scotland

On the Kildonan shore, on the Scottish Isle of Arran, this large footprint is visible at low tide. It was left by a giant reptile that roamed Arran around 240 million years ago named Chirotherium, meaning ‘hand‐beast’, because the tracks look like giant human hand prints. #dinosaur

Wow, most amazing long weekend on Arran, with gorgeous weather and not as hot as elsewhere. Four days, 35 miles underfoot, over 4.5km of ascent/descent and 1500m of super easy grade rock climbing. Back to work for a rest tomorrow.

One of the things the 13yo and I love about Arran is the proximity to nature - big things like eagles, deer, seals, red squirrels, but also smaller things that are no less beautiful. I have countless photographs.
