One of my favourite of Laurent Chéhère’s Flying Houses.
Painting of a floating three story building anchored by a small rope disappearing to the bottom left of the photo. Coloured laundry hangs from window sills, and from underneath the building. A large, circular, white gothic (?) window sits to the top right of the building. White curtains hide what’s inside. Chéhère describes this as a home in “one of the poorest and most dangerous neighbourhoods of Paris” … “Paris has its favela. Paris is no longer a postcard”.
