Another different shot this weekend, some might describe it as ICM, but I think it is more likely that the tripod moved! Either way it was a happy mistake and I like the mystical feel but that the reeds are still identifiable.

From the Archives I think this is one of the oldest photographs I’ve been working on recently from 2015. My original edit was vibrant (eg colour!), and showed the extensive landscape. I feel now there is a feeling of control, tranquility and peace.

Sometimes you come across gates almost hidden from view - a portal to a hidden realm - half frame photograph printed onto mulberry paper. The photograph was made using my Pentax 17 and Ilford HP5 developed with DD-X. #believeinfilm #halfframedriday

Leading one’s eye along the woodland floor, deeper into the trees, and to the pocket of light. I love woodlands but I struggle to take and process photographs I’m happy with. This has gone through several iterations gradually getting darker each time and I may not be finished.

Continuing to review and rework older shots with this beautiful decaying jetty. A still morning, the structure stands in the sea, and the tide rolls over the rocks at the waters edge. Taken in 2018, I originally processed this as a wider panorama format but am pleased with how a 1:1 ratio works.

Work in Progress Loitering down a country lane chasing the mist at sunrise. One of those days you expect mist but there isn’t a drop and the chase to find it before the morning sun burns it off. Years of dealing with the same problems are what keeps the hobby interesting.

Work in Progress The striking vast slabs of rock on the beach, the North Sea tide flowing up and over, patterns left as it recedes back into the sea. It is a location I really need to revisit as this shot dates from 2019 and my interests have changed since then.
