Trump’s TIME interview should have been treated about like Biden’s debate performance. That it mostly wasn’t says a lot about the media’s ongoing normalization of Trump’s cognitive downward spiral.

I think it is crucial for the health of the Democratic party that the entire consultant class from previous administrations, including and especially Clinton, be told to go home and stop bothering people. They are wrong about everything and have been holding the party back for decades.

i am having trouble articulating this but a system that excuses gang rape as a youthful error on behalf of college men with ~ bright futures ~ does so because it is served by producing older men who are comfortable with, even enthusiastic about, torturing people at the system's behest

I'm getting terrible understanding how THIS -- of all the illegal and immortal shit Trump has done -- continues to get so much legacy media attention. Illegal war on Iran? Murdering fisherman? Manipulating markets? Summarily rounding up and rendering immigrants with zero due process? Wtf.

On the *same day* the Cornell Seven drugged and raped Jane Doe, Cornell banned four students (including the President of Cornell JVP) from campus for three years for nonviolent, pro-Palestine protests. The same Cornell officials let the rapists off with apology essays.

This legitimately should be the unified Democratic party message. Trump and his cronies are getting absurdly rich while you are getting poorer. This is bad and we're going to stop it.

The refusal to go after Musk is a serious validator of the notion democrats have no real interest in winning. No serious party would let someone like him emerge as a major funder of the opposition and just… not say anything about it.

Amazon's own balance sheet presents the most compelling evidence that we are stuck in the Enshittocene, the era in which everything is turning into a pile of shit, because the worst ideas of the worst people now make the most money. 1/
Hieronymus Bosch's 'The Conjuror,' a painting depicting a medieval con artist playing a shell game for an audience of astonished peasant rubes. The image has been altered: the conman now has Jeff Bezos's grinning head, and the mouths of all the peasants have been replaced with inverted Amazon 'Smile' logos, so they are now frowning.

I can't reply directly, so here goes: a logical extension of this position is that moving negates your right to vote during the year you relocate unless you bought property. Is Nichols saying this? No. But that's because he's dumb & duplicitous and thinks we're rubes. Fuck off back to X, bitch.
