If I play a YouTube video for 3 seconds and leave, it becomes marked as completely watched, with the red line extending all the way under the thumbnail. It’s been like this forever. Does anyone know if this is a bug, or intentional? It’s frustrating to me.

I'm not sure how much this counts, but in Malta we have 'tberfil', a hand-drawn font used on some trucks and vans, but primarily used on the old Maltese buses. This can vary a bit from painter to painter but the general style and look is instantly recognised by the Maltese, and generally loved.

Font and layout for hungarian street names. It is most common in Budapest, but can be spotted all over the country, and it’s use goes way back. Most iconic part is the arrow for sure

So I digitized the typeface designed by Jane Davis Doggett, Alphabet A, which remains in use at the Tampa airport (a thing of pride for us) specifically for using in my wife's campaign logo as a subtle hint at something exclusively TAMPA. (It had not existed in a digital form before.)

Granada (Spain) has this hand-lettering style used on ceramic street signs throughout the city, which has also been reinterpreted as a digital typeface (xn--granadatierrasoada-10b.es)

New Orleans has these beautiful tile street names embedded in the sidewalk near intersections. They originated in the 1880s and are still manufactured today: www.derbypottery.com/index.php?pa...

In the Basque Country, there is a typeface that pretty much everyone recognizes as the "basque font". It has its origins in regional lettering from the middle ages. I've only seen it a handful of times outside the Basque Country, and always in places like basque restaurants, cultural centers, etc.

In my hometown (Sevilla, Spain) we have this thing that’s *everywhere*, always on ceramic tiles. A couple of local designers made a digital version of it, plus a bunch of dingbats, and won a European Design Award for it: justayrvfina.com (in Spanish, but hopefully you’ll get the idea)

Not sure how recognizable they are to the general public but two examples that come to mind are the blocky lettering of Los Angeles' old street signage, and Eero Saarinen's lettering for Dulles airport which was later expanded into the typeface Eero by Christian Schwartz.

I really, really love Game Changer – it’s a fun game show where every episode is a different game. I don’t generally care for game shows, but this is so creative, so filled with great details, and so… warm? thoughtful? inclusive? It’s just good energy all around, and also laugh-out-loud funny.
