Rename "Jackson" Park and turn it into a free public green space for more neighbors
Two new light rail stations will be opening next to "Jackson" Park Golf Course in the next couple of years. The 148th St. station is set to open in 2024, and the 130th St. station in 2026. Right no...

Seattleites deserve efficient, reliable, and affordable public transit. That's why I was honored to emcee the opening of the Pinehurst Link station earlier this week. Haller Lake, Bitter Lake, Lake City, and other North Seattle communities…
Mayor Wilson stands at a Sound Transit podium with several microphones while reading from papers. Behind the podium is a large wall covered in a vivid red, yellow, and black patterned artwork. Mayor Wilson is wearing a dark-colored blazer and patterned shirt and is positioned slightly to the side while speaking.A group of people stand and talk in front of a large wall covered in a bright red, yellow, and black patterned artwork. One person wearing a high‑visibility jacket is speaking with another person in a light‑colored puffer jacket. Another person wearing a dark-colored blazer stands nearby, holding papers. Additional people are visible in the foreground and background, including someone near a tall black speaker.

Lake Washington Boulevard feels like a ghost town today now that's it's back open to cars. It's such a beautiful weekend, it would be a rolling party of people of all ages walking, roller skating, scooting, skate boarding and biking. But instead we have this.

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).
A crescent Moon seen during the day, arcing from upper left to lower right of the frame. At lower centre is the full disk of Jupiter; the small dots to its upper left and lower right and Io and Ganymede, respectively.

One option is to build the pink line south as part of an ST4 package, and then elevate the 1 Line through Rainier Valley
A depiction of part of Seattle Subway's vision map. The relevant part to the post is the pink line which runs north-south and separates from the current 1 line at SODO, goes through Georgetown and South Park, and rejoins at Tukwila International Blvd before ending at SeaTac Airport. This would free up Sound Transit to elevate the existing Ranier Valley segment without severing the spine.
