How easy is it to find who if any of Government TDs or senior members of those political parties have links with racing? Donations, family, animals

The legends of the werewolves of Ossory emerged from an Ireland where wolves roamed & wilderness boundaried civilisation. Ireland was seen as a place on the edge of the world. 🌳 🐺 My latest article 'The Wolf, the Werewolf, & the Wilderness in Medieval Ireland'. Link in comments.

"The Gaelic kingdom of Ossraí (manglicised as Ossory) dated from prehistory and included County Kilkenny, western Laois and parts of eastern Tipperary. It is here in Ossory that we find the tales of the Irish-speaking medieval werewolves."

What a moment to capture, & what an eye from story telling. Fond memories of a political staffer grabbing a replica Iron Age axe out of the hands of a TD at a museum event to avoid something similar after this photo was taken! RIP to a great photographer.

I said to someone that more than half of the year in Ireland is at least 20 degrees. They laughed. It happened last year (from April). It has happened again this year.

It was quite telling that this morning both London and Dublin media presented the procession of the Orange march as an inevitability this morning. People power is a big, big blind spot for the news.

I cannot ever forget how the marching bands refused to be silent, as requested, going past the house where the mother of those three murdered boys took refuge in the weeks after her unthinkable loss. A small detail that exposes everything this march is for.

I hope that people power has stopped the Orange Order today. We are in a dangerous moment with powerful forces trying to drag people back into sectarian violence for political gain. PBP will continue to stand with Garvaghy Road residents and against sectarianism.

They've done weekend meetings to sort all of this out. They've never done anything of the like to help the children they have made homeless. The only time they've shown any determination throughout the housing crisis was in making sure the evictions ban disappeared. This is unsustainable.

You can probably support the working class and demand support for people who are struggling because of capitalist inequality and also not pretend massively bigoted rhetoric and action isn't happening or being Trojan-horsed in under the guise of taking down those in power, by the way. Just a thought.
