Reports, including here on BSky, that International CRM company Chronicle Heritage has laid off staff at less than 24 hours notice and has entered liquidation. The company, which also operates in the UK and Middle East, has been controlled by private equity firm the Riverside Company since 2021.

I'm so very sad to hear of the death of Esther Ranzen who played an important role in reuniting me with Nicky Winton - the man who saved my life. It's so desperately sad that she couldn't choose assisted dying as was her wish.

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.
From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

The title of the article, which I link below, is "How Bear 89 earned the name Backpack"

29 years ago, Spike barreled his way into Sunnydale and changed the Buffyverse forever. They accidentally telegraphed so much in this episode, you'd think they knew what they had planned for these two. It was all a happy accident, and we were never the same. Happy 29 years of School Hard!

Well, well, well - if it isn’t the consequences of our own actions. It would appear that migrants are not, in fact, the fiscal drain we’ve been told they are by years if we go by the £4bn to £6.5bn shortfall that’s been caused by the precipitous drop in numbers under this government. Funny that.

The Daily Telegraph, with its finger on the pulse of the nation, thinks that people taking a packed lunch to work is “pathetic” and a sign of societal collapse; and also thinks that said packed lunch includes sprouts.
Daily Telegraph: MICHAEL DEACON
This pathetic office trend is a damning symbol of Britain's decline.

Picture shows three food containers in a fridge, seemingly representing an office packed lunch. They contain roast potatoes, carrots and sprouts. They’re insane, aren’t they?

The £36m donations are legal and to change the law retrospectively would be outrageous! Yes, it was announced in Parliament on 25 March that the legislation would apply to any donations from that day onwards, but that was the day all Reform MPs staged a walk-out, so we missed it.

And that is less than half our grapes. 16kg being turned into wine. (Bit better than last years two dozen grapes or the year before's two.)
A large paper bag and a large bucket on an overturned normal bucket are filled with freshly picked grapes on a semi-shaded patio.
The dappled shade includes shadows of bunches of grapes still on the vine.
Also on the patio is a 35l rubbish bag.A rubber ducky sits on to of a huge mound of grapes in a bath.A bucket (different to the other two) is on a grape juice stained rug and is 3/4 full of washed and de-stalked grapesA huge container 1/3 full of grape juuce, yeast and a bit more sugar.
