[job interview] interviewer: so god killed all your kids? job: that's right

I don’t know what led my train of thought to it but I just remembered something weird from when I was 16. I was meeting my friends in town to go to the cinema and one of them didn’t turn up on time and I remember we were joking she’d gone missing because there were lots of police around.

Not a novel observation by any means but the irony here, of course, is that it is precisely the UK’s successful approach to multiculturalism that has allowed us to generate a brown white nationalist.

love to have a very normal president who is definitely not cognitively impaired

What is it going to do?

It's going to be super intelligence.

What will it do?

Because it's much more accurate. It's going to be a group of very smart people that understand it, who will be advising me. But I will tell you right now, I'm not going to be easy because I'm not going to kill a thing based on phony threats. They said that our country was going to burn down because of global warming. Then they changed the name to climate change because global warming wasn't going. They said that we are going to have some of the most difficult times ever. Global warming turned out to be a hoax. Russia, Russia, Russia was a hoax. Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine.

So what is the hoax of AI? Who's behind it?

The whole country is based on fake stuff because these people have Trump derangement syndrome.

Lmaooo I’m dumb. I apparently set my direct debit to pay the full balance of one of my credit cards knowing this money was coming, so now it’s £400 in credit on my credit card and my current account is slightly overdrawn. It’s fine because I have more money coming in tomorrow but wow I’m stupid lol

I think my biggest wish in life is to find a passion like that for myself, and to make it blossom out in the world

I still remember when Joon compared their position in the music world as a modern silk route where culture travels from the East to the West and the West to the East. This exhibition of his extends on that idea. Really love this. So much meaning and depth.

It’s a mark of the corruption of our whole way of thinking about the world that trying to meet a planetary emergency is routinely described as “ideological”, while continuing to accelerate it is presented as “pragmatic” and “economic”.

📰 BTS RM Donates 100 Million Won to Help Purchase Items for the National Museum of Korea’s Collection

[Financial News] BTS's RM has donated 100 million won to help the National Museum of Korea purchase items for its collection.
According to the National Museum of Korea on the 30th, RM (Kim Nam-joon) delivered the donation the previous day to the National Museum of Korea Society, a nonprofit organization that supports the museum. The Society plans to use the fund when purchasing collection items in the future and donating them to the museum.
RM was appointed the museum's Global Ambassador last June. This donation is also one of his ongoing cultural and arts sponsorship activities.

The National Museum of Korea Society supports the purchase of cultural artifacts, academic sponsorship, and the development of facilities, among other things. In 2023, it purchased a Joseon-period mother-of-pearl inlaid box with a lotus and vine design and donated it to the museum, and in 2024, it purchased a cursive-script work by renowned calligrapher Hwang Gi-ro and donated it to the museum.
The method of having a private supporting organization purchase cultural artifacts and donate them allows private-sector support for culture and the arts to be connected to the expansion of the collections of the National Museum.
RM said, "As the Global Ambassador of the National Museum of Korea, I'm happy to be able to support the museum," adding, "I will continue to work together to promote the museum and our culture."

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

Enhancing grainy images and videos with generative AI to identify key missing details often produces inaccurate and unreliable results. AI models have no reference as to what missing details in a grainy image/video look like, and often generate those details based on an incorrect guess.
