Politically speaking, the TWU's deafening silence on this death is very very notable.

I thought the point of having 2 people on each train was to prevent stuff like this from happening regardless of how "unsteady" someone is?

The RFP is for the concessions for the entire plaza (including responsibility for seating). I'm curious how the rides would go. The little carousels in plazas at a number of Paris Metro stops are very cute and very popular with the kiddos. PDF: 34thstreet.org/assets/uploa...

It's particularly bad that they constantly delay updates on items by months at a time. The last signals update was due in spring, but was delayed with no real reason given. The last update discussed how far they had fallen behind and what they were doing to fix it. They should give an update!

in New York there’s a slice of people who (maybe) have the time and money to drive a car around the city for personal transportation but are stupid enough to drive a car around the city for personal transport. This is a dangerous combo.

Sometimes I think about how we might not be in this mess, at least not in this way, had Cy Vance Jr. prosecuted Ivanka and Don Jr. for fraud back in 2012. Instead, Vance got some campaign donations from a Trump attorney and, well, here we are.
