Gwen C. Katz @gwenckatz.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Hey, yuccas are excellent if you want to inflict piercing damage on trespassers but the cops look dimly on studding your property with spears 040
Mish @mish3091.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Ha ha ha halarious! Live in the northern suburbs of Melb, houses roughly 15 years old and I think council must have offered free plants with development because every second house has huge yuccas that they have had to get tree stump grinders in to remove!!! 091
Cori Classen @coriseasinger.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Good thing my agapanthus is in a pot! Sounds like it's similar to planting mint 010

✨🍁River🍁✨ @flareons-fire.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Yuccas go inside. And that’s it. If it dies you bag it and throw it away. Don’t dump it in the woods smh 040

Lululamarmiteontoast @lalamarmiteontoast.bsky.social · 30/07/2026I watched a couple spend two weekends & some evenings manually removing very overgrown & rooted to the depths of hell agapanthus from their street frontage fence line. They replaced the topsoil, repainted & repaired the fence, looked fantastic. Two days later they replanted with more agapanthusstatic.klipy.comThat '70s Show: Kitty Foreman's Head DropALT: That '70s Show: Kitty Foreman's Head Drop 182

Bronwyn Clarke @bronwync.bsky.social · 30/07/2026It's one of my local nurseries. I firmly share their opinion on Yuccas (spent $2K getting several removed from way too close to my house), and mostly on agapanthus. Both popular in the 1980s and 1990s and very common and hardy. But this is not their native environment. 1250

🍂M.T.Botany @mtbotany.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Looks around at the dry, hot native habitat of the yucca surrounding me. The sun shines down in a particularly unforgiving way as it climbs, it is already too hot, and will be hotter still later in a hellish drought with yucca happily enduring it. "Okay, fair." 1200
Jac + Cat @jacpluscat.bsky.social · 30/07/2026I'm not familiar with agapanthus, but I hate the yucca in our garden with a depth that would daunt Dante. 1401

Deborah L. Davitt, Author @deborahldavitt.bsky.social · 30/07/2026I would like to say one nice thing about crepe myrtles: in their place (WELL away from the house) they are beautiful. However, comma, they are also a fucking zombie horde in disguise. Try to remove one, and you're battling suckers from its roots for the next ten years. I understand plant hate! 060
