I try to remember that whenever we talk about how much of a fucked up horror show the world is, what we mean is that the world is full of good people being wronged and beauty being destroyed, that we risk losing all of it—not a denial of the good in the world but its affirmation.

A conspiracy board of the evolution of a fake medieval hat from one 18th century drawing of a rotting wooden sculpture outside a now-demolished chateau which was missing some important parts but is now ensconced in (bad) fashion histories as canon. None of these hats ever existed. #FashionHistory

As described. The hat is a sort of "V" shaped bourrelet roll but instead of being propped on a substantial frame it is hovering almost in midair nailed to a rudimentary henin. Nothing like this exists in any verified actual medieval source. All images postdate the 18th century drawing.
