In 1888, a graffito was found on a hallway wall in Pompeii. Called CIL 4.5296, this is a love poem, one of the longest and most elaborate surviving graffiti texts in the city.
A poem written by a woman, and addressed to another woman ("pupula", my little doll or darling)
