One reason the Reality Fracture paired cards seem so disconnected from the story is that very few of them are from sets in this story arc. So many are from Dominaria, Innistrad, and the like. Not enough of them reflect characters of the past 3 years of sets that this story is supposed to cap.

The card Thalia, the Survivor, from Reality Fracture

The card Yargle, Glutton of Urborg from Reality Fracture

The card Gallia, the Merrymaker from Reality Fracture

The card Ruric Thar, Magecrusher from Reality Fracture

I wish I could play Reality Fracture in a smaller constructed format. Like most new sets, it has no chance to shine in 3-year Standard. Give me 3-set Standard!

So I listened to MaRo’s fresh off design podcast about reality fracture (I like him dropping something he recorded 2 years ago) but for me, reality fracture is a conceptual miss is the set has a fundamental flaw: the set isnt about what it’s about because it can’t refer to its own theme

Reality Fracture is a good set, don't get me wrong, but people are talking about this thing like it's some sort of passionate love letter to the fans and like... I dunno I sorta get that, but it's equal parts key-jangling surface stuff. It's good! But it's not the savior of in-universe magic.

The Sibsig Ceremony makes Karn, Argent Defender free to cast and in turn Karn shuts off Sibsig’s destroy ETB clause. Leaving you with a two mana discount on all creatures while Karn remains on board. #MTG

The Sibsig Ceremony
{B}{B}{B}
Legendary Enchantment
Creature spells you cast cost {2} less to cast.
Whenever a creature you control enters, if you cast it, destroy that creature, then create a 2/2 black Zombie Druid creature token.

Karn, Argent Defender

I'm so sick of this specific expression of red pie in Standard. R/x aggro sucks all the fun out of the game, and speeds up the environment too much for other decks to have a shot. When there are 18 sets to choose from these prowess/damage amplifiers are just OP.

The card Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage from Reality Fracture.

Echoverse being just Bizarro!Magic is so stupid. I'm fine with it from a card design standpoint (it's fun and silly), but it feels like more of these legends should be smaller twists on their actual characters rather than full inversions.

This card sunk a ton of goodwill for the Thunder Junction set, just spreading the plausibility of the concept too thin for players who know who Marchesa is. The art is fantastic. I wish the character it depicts were almost anyone else.

If you know me, you know I am always thinking up new Sliver commanders. The key that unlocked this design was the terms "Tempest Ten" and "Stronghold Six." I spent more time than I care to admit templating this down to eleven lines of text. :0

A card I designed called The Rathi Sliver Hive. It's a five color 3/3 Legendary Sliver that costs (w/u)B(r/g) and has:
Whenever a player casts their first spell each turn, they create a Metallic Sliver token. If it’s a creature spell, choose Tempest Ten. If its an instant or sorcery spell, choose Stronghold Six.
• Tempest Ten — The token instead enters randomly as an Armor Sliver, Talon Sliver, Mnemonic Sliver, Winged Sliver, Clot Sliver, Mindwhip Sliver, Barbed Sliver, Heart Sliver, Horned Sliver, or Muscle Sliver.
• Stronghold Six — The token instead enters randomly as a Crystalline Sliver, Hibernation Sliver, Acidic Sliver, Spined Sliver, Victual Sliver, or Sliver Queen.

I love making Sharpie tokens

Alters of the card Bola Warrior and Weapons Trainer. The Bola Warrior has had its name, mana cost, type line, and abilities blacked out so it is now a 1/1 red Warrior creature token. The Weapons Trainer has been similarly blacked out so that it's a 3/2 red and white Spirit creature token.
