I'm in much the same boat, and really can't go back to full-time work right now or in the foreseeable future because I have out-of-state caregiving responsibilities. I've been lucky in life in a lot of ways and I've been able to make it work even with premium increases, but it's getting harder.

Mars and Venus couldn't be more different. I'm talking about the actual planets but also bluntly extending it into metaphor: men and women are different. Their preferences are different, their personalities are different, their bodies are different, and their reading proclivities are in fact... different. The point I'm ham-fistedly trying to make is, it should be of no surprise to any rational thinking person that in the age of algorithmic social media and personalized consumption: men and women are reading different things - if they are reading anything at all.

The youngest person his pager attack killed was 9-year-old Fatima Abdullah, who had just started 4th grade. The pager was on a table when it went off and she picked it up to take to her dad. It exploded in her face and reports said it covered the room in her blood. She wanted to learn English.
