"It's so insanely fun," one of the subjects in NAZA says at one point of the targeted mass killing of Palestinians. It's impossible to imagine how this thought could enter a person's mind, and even worse, escape their lips. But then...

I made bran muffins in the manner of German rye bread (whole rye flour, warm spices, malt syrup). Vollkornbran muffins, so to speak. (They are very good, despite the fibermaxxing.)

My grandpa has been sick, has been for a while. He has struggled with walking and taking care of himself. Your music though seems to have helped him. Your song was playing on the radio and I saw him get up and walk for the first time in years to go turn it off. Thank you for all you do.

Here's what Ursula thought about Harry
UKL: I have no great opinion of it. When so many adult critics were carrying on about the "incredible originality" of the first Harry Potter book, I read it to find out what the fuss was about, and remained somewhat puzzled; it seemed a lively kid's fantasy crossed with a "school novel", good fare for its age group, but stylistically ordinary, imaginatively derivative, and ethically rather mean-spirited.

coincidence?
Hello there Andrew. I am part of Dave Arnold's podcast team. I believe one of our community may have already reached out to you. So I wanted to formally invite you onto to the show.

I apologize, I'm not familiar where you are based out of. Given your new book, will you be traveling to NYC in the near future? We occasionally have remote guests, but the dynamic is always better for the show in person.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

November 17

An informative and serious immersion into home bread baking that isn't completely serious: the man offers us Parker House "Swolls" and FrancoJapanese "Shokupain de Mie." But you'll also learn to use scalds in your bread and to mill your own grains, so serious when it comes to the important parts. Andrew Janjigian will sign all preordered copies.
Hardcover. Color photographs throughout.

Went to Industry Night for 'Tony' last night, and it was pretty good! It could have been about any cocky, clueless teenager being saved by life in the kitchen, but it's entertaining all the same. (Banderas is easily the best thing in it.)
