Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet. After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

This very thing (lights to get through traffic signals) happened to me today on Century Ave -- an actual marked SUV & an unmarked SUV that was following the other (this one did not turn on any lights but proceeded to speed along with the first through a couple of intersections).

If want downtown, any downtown, to be a place for ppl before 8:30am and after 5:30pm making is “playground” for suburbanites ain’t it. You do that by making it a neighborhood where people can actually live. And just for the rich, but for working families as well!

One last thing about Dobson: I used to feel like maybe I was overreacting re: my MIL giving me & my daughter FOtF books etc, but seeing so many ppl talking about the abuse they suffered as a result of his brand of evil reassures me that I was not. I hope all the victims are healing. 🫶

Oh! What tremendous news! I'm not in the habit of celebrating a person's death, but this guy suuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. He was an absolute scum-sucking, vile, hateful maggot who actively made this world worse. www.lgbtqnation.com/2025/08/jame...

Under the label 'politics', lgbtqnation.com reports:
"James Dobson, massively influential Christian bigot, dies at 89
Good riddance"
Article by Daniel Villarreal
This includes a photo of a hateful old white man wearing glasses, smiling at the camera. It's the kind of face a person may want to punch.
The article goes on:
"James Dobson, the founder of the Christian anti-LGBTQ+ hate groups Focus on the Family (FOF) and the Family Research Council (FRC), has died at the age of 89. Hailed as one of “the most influential evangelical leader[s] in America,” he considered same-sex marriage worse than terrorism and encouraged men to murder trans women."

Man at store last night was complaining that glue sticks only came in multi-packs. (List must have asked for 1?!) I cannot comment on family's $ sitch, but sir, just buy the multipack. Your 7?yo is going to need more than 1. Contribute to the class or keep them for home. They won't go to waste.
