What's even more bleak about this is that Ohio is still on the cheaper side for cost of living than many places in the US, and they still have so many people who can't afford housing that we're at this point

It's in the fact that survivors of harassment, bullying, abuse, assault, manipulation, credit-theft, retaliation, so many horrors small and large move through the world with their nervous systems absolutely trashed, their careers and often lives trashed

It's in the fact that Louis CK has a Netflix special now tho his comedy moved into even more racist, awful, even punching down at the people whose lives he ruined -- but hey, that's showbiz. (Other notable comebacks of the coming season seem to include Jonathan Majors, Kevin Spacey, Conor McGregor.)

Many of the men who perpetrate gang rapes are only sexually violent in that specific context. Because they know there is protection (for them) in numbers. Impunity is almost guaranteed. We might see it as particularly egregious, but they see it as low risk.

Every single problem we know about reporting sexual violence is amplified in gang rape cases. There’s more labor. There’s more retaliation. There’s more disruptions to education. There’s more scrutiny. There’s more victim blame. There’s more trauma.

The reason we don’t hear about gang rapes often isn’t because they’re rare. It’s because it is so uniquely hard for victims to come forward. Jane Doe had to participate in twelve Title IX hearings. TWELVE.

Student debt is at the heart of why campus sexual violence derails victims’ lives too. The primary reason victims drop out of college is because they are encouraged to take temporary leaves of absence—and then they can’t return until they are current on student loan payments.

I don’t know why but it’s reminding me of this bit from 40k’s Wicked and the Warped, I guess a similar vibe.
“Shaping the future is no trick, Trazyn” Orikan shouted, livid now. “You do it all the time. You are doing it now! The choice you make in the present shapes your future. Tomorrow this moment will be the past. There’s no need to travel through time to find the optimal result. All you need to do is understand that you, right now, are tomorrow’s past self. If you make good decisions in the present, you will have made good decisions in the future.”

It's Mariame Kaba's "knowing who to be mad at is praxis" and more. Knowing who to be mad at IS praxis. Then you gotta know what moves the person you're mad at to do things differently. You gotta know who THEY listen to, and how to get to them. Anger alone isn't a vision, strategy, tactic or goal.
