I am in Cap Haitien interviewing people deported from the United States. I have been doing this kind of work for almost a decade and it literally does not get more dire than this. People have lost everything they built in the U.S. and are terrified and have no place to go or way to live.

Farage having access to £72 million is a democratic catastrophe. But the biggest risk is this. Farage may very well be taken out by his financial scandals. The last French emperor's final resting place is in The Imperial Crypt at St Michael's Abbey in Farnborough.

For the record, the proportion of professors at Cambridge who are Black is 0.4%. The number of Black people in the UK population is 4%. So the number of Black professors at Cambridge is ONE TENTH of what you would expect in a meritocracy.
