Weakening a fundamental right doesn’t build confidence in it – it just leaves it weaker for everyone. That's why the Government must drop their proposals to change Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights. More here: www.libertyhumanrights.org.uk/issue/the-im...

A single vote indicates that an entryist faction was able to take advantage of a party's low conference turnouts for its own benefit and *far* too many people have concluded the only possible response is either burning down the party completely or entirely doing away with party democracy.

For those whose families lived through the Jewish traumas of Mitteleuropa, it isn't that esoteric why Zionism was once seen this way, even as it has now become Kahanism. The lesson here is not unique to Zionism, but the opposite - how easily liberation movements become the thing they once hated.

To Jewish members of the Green Party: Assurances, from the motion proposers, that they had no intention for Jewish members to feel targeted for their beliefs or associations have been clear. And if anyone else does try to use it in this way, I will be there for you with my solidarity and support.
Statement reads: As Greens, we will always uphold universal human rights.

We will never tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment.

We will continue to stand in opposition to genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and the illegal occupation.

We will continue to call out the heinous crimes of the Netanyahu government.

And we will continue to work to ensure that the Green Party is an anti-racist party in every way.
